Choosing a WEDDING PLANNER is like choosing a friend.
Qualities of a good friend (and an UnCommon wedding planner!)
A loyal friend will stick with you no matter what the situation is and you can always count on them to be on your side. As a wedding planner you can always count on me by your side (well at least on the end of a phone).
Being a good friend involves being aware of your needs and recognising your values. I will get to know you, your needs and understand your values. I will interpret this into ideas for your wedding day. We can have as many meetings you wish to have especially if they involve cocktails!
Sensitive people make good friends because they often see life through other people which allows them to understand the thoughts and feeling of others. I’m very aware of peoples thoughts and feelings and remain sensitive to all situations.
Life is better when approached with a good sense of humour and from experience weddings can unfortunately become quite humourless. Weddings should be fun and a happy time, so by allowing me to take some of the strain away it can remain so.
Honesty may be the most important quality for friendship as it is difficult to befriend anyone who can’t be trusted. Honesty and trust is very important to me and are important for both sides. At the end of the day we need to be honest and trust each other to get the best out of our relationship.
If someone just doesn’t “hear” what you’re saying when you confide in them, they won’t make a very good friend. Communication is a two way street and being a good listener is one half of the equation. In every part of my life I am a good listener, I am extremely empathetic.
A good friend will be supportive of you and your goals and they will act accordingly. I can help you have the wedding you want and the one that
you deserve. I will help and support you with anything and at anytime that is required.
